The current library building took shape in 1990 when voters of Spokane passed a bond providing funds for the construction of a new main branch downtown library and six branch libraries. The Comstock Building was demolished and in its place the current library was constructed. The main downtown library was completed in 1994. source: www.spokanelibrary.org/index.php?page=history Image: Photograph "The main Library in downtown Spokane" date unknown.
